What is a Personal Care Home ?Mary's Haven Personal Care Home

A Personal/Residential care home is a licensed facility which is not an institution, but has a home-like environment providing assisted living with such everyday living tasks as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, medication management, medication supervision and other care needs as assessed.

Personal care plans are developed and implemented for each resident on an individualized program.

Personal/Residential care homes offer numerous levels of care to the frail and elderly, Alzheimer’s and related dementia disorders, mentally and physically challenged as well as hospice and respite care.

A typical, eligible resident is no longer able to live and care for themselves on an independent basis and requires 24 hour observation and care.

A determination about the appropriateness of a home including financial arrangements and provided services must be made by each individual.
